Women who cannot run.

A woman will be running from danger and will trip over a log in the woods, sand,  an embankment, her own feet, nothing.

In "Castaway Diva," nobody questioned why a woman would wear white gym shoes on a rainy day. But I also questioned why no one would interfere seeing a man in a dark raincoat walking quickly towards a woman who is running away with all her might.

Whatever happened to see some thing, say something?

But she couldn't outrun him. Why? Because she slips and falls in the pouring rain. As the evil man approaches, a savior swoops in to save her.

This is my least favorite trope. Park Eun-bin has thick legs like Shakira, to run for cover when she needs to.  But she couldn't outrun a fast walker. It's giving"malnourished  Korean women cannot sprint." But I know they can! You know how? Hello! The Olympics! Soccer!

I saw this happen again as I was watching Miss Knight and Day. This time, however, the female lead was running through a forest and tripped on a branch. The women running through a forest always trip on a branch. Chincha. But, this time she did not need somebody to save her. She managed to fight off her attacker well-well. I approve.

I was thoroughly entertained watching both shows. But, I would love to have a collection of video clips with Korean women running and falling. That would be hilarious!

Korean men will complain about women not having to serve in the military. Now whose fault is that?

The same system that depicts women who act like "I am so weak thay my legs cannot support my body as I move quickly in. the. world."

what about you? Have you noticed that women cannot run in Korean dramas? East Asian dramas?
