Once you have seen it, you cannot unsee it. I remember when this happened in DP and my friend recently reminded me of it and I can never look at my poster the same way again!
My eyes! What have you done to my eyes?!
That's OK though. I still love my Kdramaland Ozzbandt (not to be confused with an actual husband) JHI
But this brings me to one of my obsessions: Kdrama hair.
Most recently, I saw a show that reminded me of the Goddess Braids look. It was What Comes After Love starring my girl from The Red Sleeve, Lee Se-young. I was eye-ing her hair and it looked oddly familiar.

Her hair is very different from the "Korean Look" that scholars have written about. From what I recall reading an article years ago, the look involves pale skin and bone-straight ebony-black hair. It's a look that does not come naturally to many Korean women, despite what the Kdramas show. It's a very sculpted look that involves a lot of product and blowdryers--perhaps even blow outs and relaxers-- to accomplish.
Not Lee See-young in this show. Her hair was loose and free, seemingly devoid of concerns around looking clean (which I think Japanese colonization exacerbated, traumatizing Koreans).
But I see similar hairstyle all the time
on Black ladies in the USA!

Hello, Goddess Braids!
